A Little More About the Girl Behind the Camera

If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance you’re planning one of the most meaningful days of your life, or maybe you’re simply curious about the person who might be standing beside you with a camera when that day arrives.

Either way, I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Lacey, a wedding photographer based in Kerrville, Texas, photographing celebrations throughout the Texas Hill Country and wherever your story happens to take me.

Photography has been part of my life for longer than I ever imagined it would be my career. I got my first camera when I was 13, and what began as curiosity quickly turned into something I couldn’t seem to put down. At 16, I second shot my first wedding and got my first glimpse into what it meant to document a day filled with so much anticipation, emotion, beauty, and meaning.

By 18, I had officially launched my own photography business.

Now, at 21, somehow that thirteen-year-old girl carrying her camera everywhere has turned this into her full-time career.

And I don’t take that lightly.

Why These Photographs Mean So Much to Me

Over the years, photography has become about so much more than creating something beautiful.

My own life has taught me just how valuable photographs can become.

Losing my brother changed the way I understand memories, time, and the photographs we have of the people we love. At the same time, growing deeper in my faith in Jesus has shaped the way I see marriage, family, relationships, and the significance of being present for the life we’re given.

Together, those experiences have strengthened my love for this art I get to call my job.

They’ve reminded me that the photograph of your mom helping you into your dress, your grandparents holding hands during your ceremony, your dad tearing up when he sees you, or your new husband looking at you when he thinks no one else is watching may one day mean far more than any of us realize in the moment.

Yes, I want your photographs to be beautiful.

But more than anything, I want them to mean something.

I want them to preserve what your day actually felt like: the people, the relationships, the laughter, the nerves, the quiet moments, and all of the little pieces that make your wedding uniquely yours.

When I’m Not Photographing Weddings…

There’s a pretty good chance there’s a fun drink somewhere nearby.

I’m an iced coffee girl through and through, although a strawberry matcha (with coconut milk!) or London fog can absolutely win me over.

I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, but these days Kerrville is home. I’ve fallen completely in love with the Hill Country and everything that comes with living here: the landscapes, small towns, winding roads, beautiful venues, and the slower pace that makes this area feel so special.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with my boyfriend! We’ve been together for over a year now, and our little duo has recently been joined by our two dogs, Koda and Vega.

A lot of the things we value most overlap. We’re both passionate about building our businesses, we love spending time in the gym, and we could probably be convinced to go out for sushi or ramen at almost any hour of the day.

I’ll Never Say No to an Adventure

Travel is another huge love of mine, and photography has only made me want to experience more of the world.

Some of my favorite places I’ve visited so far have been North Carolina, Colorado, and Puerto Rico! (And if you ever visit Puerto Rico, the rainforest is genuinely to die for.)

There’s something incredibly inspiring about experiencing somewhere completely different, which is one of the many reasons destination weddings have such a special place in my heart.

So if you’re planning to exchange vows somewhere outside of Texas, please don’t assume the distance means I’m off the table. 🙂

Whether you’re dreaming of a mountain celebration in Colorado, an intimate weekend somewhere along the coast, a tropical wedding surrounded by lush greenery, or somewhere I haven’t even been yet, I would absolutely love to hear where you’re headed!

I’ll bring my camera.

More Than Just Your Photographer

One of my favorite parts of this job is that by the time a wedding day arrives, I rarely feel like I’m simply showing up to photograph another event.

I’ve spent months getting to know my couples, hearing about the people they love, talking through their plans, answering questions, and anticipating the moments that are going to matter most.

My goal is to give you photographs that feel elevated and beautiful while still allowing you to recognize yourselves inside of them.

Photographs that preserve the big moments, of course, but also the fleeting ones.

The squeeze of a hand.

The champagne spilling over the glass.

Your best friend losing it on the dance floor.

The look your parents exchange during the ceremony.

The room full of people who showed up because they love you.

Those are the pieces I never want you to forget.

And getting to preserve them for people is something I will never stop being grateful for.

If You’re Planning Your Wedding, I’d Love to Hear About It

If you’ve made it this far, I hope you feel like you know the person behind the camera a little better.

And if you’re looking for a photographer who cares deeply about the people, emotions, and story behind your wedding day – not just creating beautiful images – I would be so excited to hear from you.

Tell me where you’re getting married, what you’re most excited about, what you’re envisioning for the day, and anything else you want me to know.

Whether your celebration is here in the Texas Hill Country or requires a plane ticket and a passport, get in touch and tell me all about it!

I truly cannot wait to chat with you, and hopefully be the one preserving this season of your story.

Based in Texas and serving the Hill Country, San Antonio, Austin, and beyond, I create a photography experience that feels calm, personal, and in a way that feels honest to the day. With timeline support, gentle direction, and a steady presence throughout the day, you can feel cared for while the moments that matter most are beautifully documented.

Hello, there! I'm
